How do I connect to the Wi-Fi?
Simply select the network STAYERY, enter the password STAYnice, and you’re online.
When is my apartment cleaned?
Your apartment is cleaned once a week for free. The cleaning day is always your arrival day. If it falls on a Sunday, we’ll come by on another day.
If you’d like extra cleanings, we can arrange that for 25 EUR per cleaning. Just reach out to our hosts or our customer support team!
What if my keycard doesn’t work or I lose it?
You can create a new keycard anytime at the check-in ice cart. Or contact our team – we’re happy to help!
If you ever find yourself locked out, just ring the bell. Depending on the time, we’ll assist you in person or via the intercom.
How does check-out work?
Simply drop your keycard in the mailbox at the entrance and you’re checked out. If your car is in our garage, you can use the mailbox there instead.
On your departure day, please check out by 11:00 so we can prepare the apartment for the next guest.
Want to stay a bit longer? Ask our team for a late check-out. If possible, we’ll grant you some extra time in your apartment.
Can I leave my luggage after check-out?
Sure, in principle, but only if we’re on site. It’s best to check in with us beforehand.
How do I get my invoice?
You’ll receive your invoice by email after check-out. If you’re staying longer than a month, we can also send your invoice at the end of each month upon request.
Heated Arguments.
How do I use the stove?
Your stove is smart and powerful – please handle with care.
The cooktop only works with compatible induction cookware. Make sure your pot or pan is properly on the plate, otherwise nothing will happen.
If the child lock is activated, you can deactivate it using the clock symbol. Just press and hold it for about 5–7 seconds.
Be careful when adjusting the heat: the plates are really strong and we don’t want to trigger the fire alarm.
How does the extractor hood work?
Just pull the flap forward and the hood will start automatically. Then you can switch on the light on the left side and adjust the fan speed on the right.
How does the microwave work?
Ready in a few steps: Press the button with the arrow symbol to open the microwave automatically. Place your food on the turntable (never run it empty!) and select the power level. Set the cooking time with the dial and press Start.
Use only microwave-safe dishes (ceramic, glass, or microwave-safe plastic) to protect your health and the appliance.
Recommended power levels:
- 90–180 W: Defrosting, gentle cooking
- 360 W: Cooking meat & fish
- 600 W: Warming & cooking
- 800 W: Heating liquids

Where can I have breakfast and how do I book it?
The bakery Lamm is located on the other side of the building. The fastest way is through the courtyard.

When is breakfast served?
Breakfast is available Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
How much does it cost?
Breakfast is 15 euros per day.

How do I turn on the TV?
Use the remote to switch on the TV.
No picture? No problem!
Unplug the power cord behind the TV for about 1–2 minutes and then plug it back in. After 30–45 seconds, the welcome screen should appear. If not, repeat the process or contact our team.
Remote not working?
The batteries are probably dead. Our team is happy to help here too.
How does Screen Sharing / Chromecast work?
In the TV menu, select Screen Sharing (orange field). Then choose between Direct Screen Sharing or Streaming via Chromecast. Scan the QR code with your smartphone and follow the instructions – done!
Remember to log out when you’re finished.
No power in the apartment?
Don’t panic – it’s usually easy to fix!
The main switch is located to the right of your entrance door. Make sure it’s turned on.
If there’s still no power, contact our team directly so we can get it sorted ASAP.
Need to cool down?
You control the air conditioning via the touchscreen. Tap the power icon in the top right corner to turn it on or off. Use the thermometer to set the temperature just the way you like it.
Quick heads-up: Our air conditioning systems are perfectly adjusted to the building. That’s why the temperature can only be set down to a minimum of 22 °C.
Laundry love.
Where can I do my laundry?
You can wash your clothes in the Laundry House, located on the ground floor right by the entrance area.
How do the washing machines and dryers work?
Everything runs through the WeWash app, available in the App Store or Play Store. Simply register and create a user account. Payment is conveniently handled via the method stored in the app.
Then, in your profile, select the STAYERY Laundry House. You can reserve a washing machine or dryer for 10 minutes. Detergent is already included. Once your laundry is done, you’ll get a notification directly in the app.
How much does it cost?
Each wash or dry cycle costs between 3 and 4 EUR. The exact price is shown in the WeWash app.
Trash talk.
Where do I dispose of my trash?
You can easily dispose of your trash in the waste area next to the underground garage entrance on Herforder Straße.
Here’s how it works step by step:
First, grab a triangular key from the laundry room. You’ll find it in the compartments opposite the dryers, where there’s also a small sign.
Then head outside to the waste station and open the door with your keycard. You’ll need the triangular key to open the waste bins. Only the glass container can be used without a key.
One last thing: please return the triangular key to the laundry room afterward so the next guests can use it too.
Where can I get new trash bags?
Fresh trash bags are available from our hosts – just ask!
How do I sort the trash?
Plastic (yellow bin), general waste (black bin), paper (blue bin), organic (brown bin), or glass. We keep sorting as simple as possible.

Where can I park and how do I book a spot?
You can park in our underground garage. Our parking spaces are located in the rear area, behind the yellow line. Feel free to book your parking spot directly with our hosts or our support team (contact details below).
You can use the short-term parking spots right in front of the entrance for loading and unloading. Please keep them free afterward so other guests can use them too.

How much does it cost?
Parking is 12 EUR per night. Staying longer than 29 nights? Get in touch with us for a personalized offer.
Can I keep my car after check-out?
Usually, parking spots need to be cleared by 11 AM. But just ask our team – sometimes it’s possible to leave your car a little longer.
What alternative parking options can you recommend?
There is a paid parking lot at the main train station. This is about 50 meters on foot from the STAYERY. There are also paid parking spaces in the Stadthalle parking garage. These are about 200 meters on foot from the STAYERY.
Please note that the parking spaces at the Jobcenter or our breakfast partner, Bäckerei Lamm, are reserved exclusively for their customers. Please use the alternative parking options mentioned above.

Time for a workout? Our fitness room on the ground floor is ready for you – perfect to burn off energy and get moving.
When can I use the gym?
You can start your workout anytime. The gym is open 24/7!
Heads-up: Use the gym at your own risk, there’s no staff on site.

For an extra duvet, just reach out to our hosts. Please note: for double occupancy in your apartment, an additional €10 per night applies.
Where can I find a dustpan?
There’s one ready for you in the Laundry House. Feel free to use it anytime and put it back when you’re done.
Can I receive mail?
Absolutely! Send your letters or packages to the STAYERY address and put your name as the recipient. As long as our team is on-site, we’ll happily accept your delivery. You can pick it up at our hosts’ back office.
Where can I get more tea or coffee?
Coffee, tea, and the water in your apartment fridge are on us, of course. If you want more or some variety, you can buy anything you like straight from the iPad at the Späti – always available for you.
