Bremen has always been one step ahead – even if the gorgeous historic buildings in the old town look like pure postcard romance at first glance.
Take Böttcherstrasse, for example – expressionist architecture shaped by a vibrant, forward-thinking art scene that still pulses through the city today. And that’s just the beginning.
The design concept of STAYERY Bremen is packed with countless little details that tap into the city’s wonderfully un-traditional traditions.
BUT FIRST, COFFEE.
Coffee belongs to Bremen like water belongs in the river Weser. Back in 1673, Germany’s very first coffee house opened right here. And in 1907, Johann Jacobs started roasting coffee in Bremen itself – a name that probably rings a bell. Jacobs Krönung still sits on pretty much every German supermarket shelf today.
BREWED INTO DESIGN.
The loft at STAYERY Bremen was designed as a modern coffee house: bistro tables with contemporary café-style chairs, warm materials, and a palette of browns and earthy tones that call to mind coffee beans and freshly brewed espresso. Cushions made of coarse linen pick up the texture of traditional coffee sacks.
